My journey to Reiki
I have always been drawn to spirituality, and in 2020 found it helped to ease anxiety in many areas of my life. What began as a personal exploration slowly became something much deeper. Over the years, I’ve learnt about crystals, practised reading tarot, and facilitated full moon ceremonies, all of which supported my emotional wellbeing and sense of balance.
In 2024, I travelled through South East Asia, where my spiritual journey deepened further. Through meditation, breathwork workshops, and sound healing, I began to connect more fully with myself and my body. When I returned home, I felt called to explore Reiki more deeply and booked my first Reiki training course.
I had experienced Reiki myself a couple of times and was amazed by how much I could feel from each session. I truly believed that if Reiki could support me in this way, then perhaps I could learn how to share this beautiful, gentle energy healing with others.
I qualified as a Reiki practitioner in February 2025 and have since been practising on friends, family, myself, and within my local yoga studio.
Today, Reiki is part of my daily practice. I use it during my morning meditation, helping to ground me, calm my nervous system, and ease the pain and tension within my body.
Reiki & My Practice
Through both self-Reiki and healing sessions with others, I’ve noticed that people often experience a deep sense of calm during a Reiki session. Some find it supports relief from physical discomfort such as chronic pain, migraines, or PMS symptoms. Others experience mental clarity, emotional release, or a greater understanding of their path.
Every Reiki session is unique. Each person’s experience is completely personal, and no two sessions are ever the same. When people ask, “What is Reiki? What does it feel like?”, I always do my best to explain, but Reiki is truly something that needs to be experienced to be fully understood.
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing practice that can support mental and emotional wellbeing, physical or chronic pain, spiritual blocks, grief, emotional processing, and periods of transition or challenge in life.
It works alongside, not in place of, medical or professional care, offering a space to rest, rebalance, and reconnect.
