Why I started Yōsei Healing 妖精

I’d been wanting to start my Reiki business for a while now after qualifying in February 2025, but I had no idea where to begin.

The whole idea felt overwhelming, impossible, out of reach. I had no idea how all these people I followed online were doing the very thing I wanted to do.

The problem is, we often look at people who are 10 steps ahead and compare them to our first step. I didn’t know how I was going to get from being a qualified Reiki healer to starting my own business, so I just decided to look at the next step, rather than how to get from A to Z.

That looked like: finding a name and creating a logo. Then designing a website. Then making leaflets. Then promoting it on social media. And right now, I'm working on landing a weekly studio slot, which feels like the biggest step yet.

In October 2025, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and that diagnosis quietly shaped everything about the direction of Yōsei Healing 妖精. As someone who lives with chronic pain daily, I know the loneliness and exhaustion of constantly trying new things just to manage symptoms. Having a practitioner who doesn't just understand that, but actually lives it, that would have meant so much to me.

So that's how Yōsei Healing 妖精 was born.

Once I complete my yoga teacher training next January, I want to specifically focus on supporting people who are struggling to exercise with pain. As someone who has practiced for eight years and felt completely disheartened when I couldn’t practice yoga properly anymore with pain in my hands, I want to show people that it’s possible to continue doing the things we love, just with adaptations.

Yōsei Healing 妖精 is so much more than another wellness business. It's about creating a space for people living with chronic pain, chronic illness, or injury, without any promises of being fixed or healed, because I know how exhausted we are of hearing that.

If you're curious about whether Reiki might be right for you, you can book a free 15-minute chat and we'll figure it out together. No pressure, just a conversation.
